Fresh Install of 1.4.2.5: Can't access Backend (redirect)

I had this problem on previous versions (1.4.0.17 and 1.4.1.0) and posted a support request here . But, nobody was able to find a solution for this issue. Even support staff.


After trying many things on my side and tired of waiting answers for the last 2 weeks, I did a fresh new install with 1.4.2.5 and a newly created MySQL database.


- Installation went fine.

- I've removed the /install directory

- I've renamed the Admin directory

- I've cleared all the cookies in my browser.


When trying to login on the backend, I'm being redirected back to the login page... again! (>_<)

- Since i'm hosted on GoDaddy, I've tried this solution PSCFI-1439 but without success. Michaël from the Prestateam told me it is not the same issue.

- I've also seen this one PSCFI-2040 . Maybe it is the same problem? Any update on this ?

It's getting really annoying. I wanted to buy a few modules as well as hiring a developer to build custom modules for a new shop. But, I'm seriously reconsidering the Prestashop platform. It's really frustrating. Those redirect bugs seems to have appeared on many version and it is supposed to have been fixed many time.

What am I doing wrong here ?

I had the same problem. In my case it was related to my ISP and the IP check. The solution for this problem is described here:
