Adding Featured products into index page

Recommended Posts

Hi Gillian!
First you need to install the 'Featured Products on the homepage' module. Once you do that just go to your catalog and assign all the products you want to appear in the Featured Products section to the 'home' category (in addition to its regular category). This will place this item on your homepage.

Hope that helps!

Hi

It picked up the featured products and placed them in a colume down the left hand side of the home page. I need to convert so it will place the images across the width of the page.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Gillian

Pinkloveshy,

I'm not sure if I understand what problem you are having. Are you saying that you custom theme places the featured products in the left column? And, that you want the products to show up more like the default PrestaShop theme (across the page horizontally, in the center column)?

If that's what you're saying, it sounds like a major deal and you'll probably have to get with a developer to help you.

You may also want to review the video I created on setting up featured products on the home page. You can watch it here: http://www.prestatraining.com/change-the-featured-products-on-your-prestashop-stores-homepage/.

Hi Gillian!

You need to make sure they are 'hooked' in the corret position. It sounds like they have been hooked in the left column. Make sure the featured products are hooked in the 'Homepage Content'. This is easy to do. Just go to modules>positions and on the top left click 'Transplant a module'. Find your module and then transplant it to 'Homepage content'. That might solve your problem.
