How to make themes turn off module on install

Yo everyone,
I am developing a prestsahop 1.4 theme and it has to be universal. The problem is when the theme gets installed there are number of modules the are turned on by default and I don't need them to be.

So how can make the new theme to turn off specific modules on install.

I tried this module

Which is standalone and it appears to be exporting the theme from my localhost installation in a zip archive with config.xml file inside which is specified whats on and whats of. The thing is it doesn't perform so well when importing the theme on the web server and all it is not the default way in which prestashop operates with themes, meaning it requires additional user knowledge.

Hey Imaginois,

Did you resolve the issue, I have the same problem.

When I update the XML it returns error when importing.
