iniebla
I have installed for testing 1.4.1.0 (full version with sample data and add.ons) and I have entered new product. When I try to enter product description my PC turns very, very slow (it seems that TinyMCE enters almost in loop, CPU usage reach 50% for 4-5 seconds evry time I type a character) . I have installed 1.4.2.5 and I get same problem. I have tried to edit sample product description on both versions and I get same problem. I have tried demo for 1.4.2.5 from www.prestashop.com and I get sdame result.I have instaled 1.4.0.17 in same way and it works perfectly (in respect to this issue). My PC is Intel Dual Core, Windows XP SP3. Internet Explorer is I.E. 8, Mozilla Firefox 3.6.
PrestaDesigner.com
It means you have installed it on localhost. Have you tried editing product description with Google Chrome browser?
tomerg3
I also found that chrome loads the TinyMCE interface the quickest, you will see a noticeable difference
iniebla
I have done installation both on local and remote server, and problem is on both types of configuratons (even on demo available at www.prestashop.com)I have tested Google Chrome with Prestashop version 1.4.2.5 and it works perfectly on this issue; yes, Chgome is faster than Mozilla on editing product_description (and with very low cpu usage). I would change my mind to use Chrome (at least for that), but what about a solution with Mozilla and IE8??If 1.4.0.17 works fine with IE8, PS 1.4.2.5 should work fine also with IE8; if not, people -as me- will get confused and will think it is a prestashop problem. tomerg3
I think the issue is with the new TinyMCE that was added to PS 1.4.2You can open post about it in the bug tracker.
