[Solved] Version 1.4.2.5 / After I changing directory of prestashop, I can not access front office.

Recommended Posts

I installed Prestashop 1.4.2.5.
After I moved my shop from subdirectory(prestashop) of public_html to root directory, I can not access front office.
But I can log in back office.

I edited the file config/settings.inc.php -> define(‘__PS_BASE_URI__’,‘/prestashop/’); was replaced by define(‘__PS_BASE_URI__’, ‘/’);

According to The error message I attached this mail as bellow, the subdirectory(prestashop) I deleted seems to be still recognized.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hello
Having a similar problem
but after i regenerate the .htaccess i get the default apache website
and after i put back the base uri to define('__PS_BASE_URI__', '/~tazztees/'); from define('__PS_BASE_URI__', '/'); then i can access the front end. but it shows the ip address in the url.

any ideas? do i have to edit the .htaccess?

Step1
If you can access your back office, regenerate .htaccess file.

Step2
Replace settingsin.php file in config directory.
If you transferred your shop from root directory to ~tazztees, define(’PS_BASE_URI‘, ‘/~tazztees/’) would be correct.
If you transferred your shop from ~tazztees to root directory, define(’PS_BASE_URI‘, ‘/’) would be correct.

Step3
Finally, you need to check, moving to Back office -> Preferences -> SEO & URLs -> PS directory.

Above 3steps are all I did to fix my problem.

Have a nice day!
