wwcorp Posted June 7, 2011 Share Posted June 7, 2011 I installed Prestashop 1.4.2.5.After I moved my shop from subdirectory(prestashop) of public_html to root directory, I can not access front office. But I can log in back office.I edited the file config/settings.inc.php -> define(‘__PS_BASE_URI__’,‘/prestashop/’); was replaced by define(‘__PS_BASE_URI__’, ‘/’);According to The error message I attached this mail as bellow, the subdirectory(prestashop) I deleted seems to be still recognized. Error message on web browser-------------------------------------------------------------Not FoundThe requested URL /prestashop/ was not found on this server.Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.Apache Server at www.XXX.net Port 80----------------------------------------------------------------Please help me!Kormart Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ChrisRabkin Posted June 9, 2011 Share Posted June 9, 2011 HelloHaving a similar problembut after i regenerate the .htaccess i get the default apache websiteand after i put back the base uri to define('__PS_BASE_URI__', '/~tazztees/'); from define('__PS_BASE_URI__', '/'); then i can access the front end. but it shows the ip address in the url.any ideas? do i have to edit the .htaccess?same ps version 1.4.2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you transferred your shop from root directory to ~tazztees, define(’PS_BASE_URI‘, ‘/~tazztees/’) would be correct.If you transferred your shop from ~tazztees to root directory, define(’PS_BASE_URI‘, ‘/’) would be correct.Step3Finally, you need to check, moving to Back office -> Preferences -> SEO & URLs -> PS directory.Above 3steps are all I did to fix my problem.Have a nice day!
