[Solved] Password Issues After Upgrading from 1.3.1.1 to 1.4.2.5

So I've just upgraded on my dev site from 1.3.1.1 to 1.4.2.5 and I have an issue with my admin passwords and customer passwords not working a requiring resets. Anyone have a workaround to stop this from happening on the upgrade?

Ok so I figured out from a couple of other posts. Here's how I did my upgrade:

Uploaded 1.4.2.5 and did a clean database install.
Opened the setting.inc.php and pointed it to my old database
Copied COOKIE_KEY and COOKIE_IV from my original setting.inc.php and pasted in new one.
Changed PS_VERSION to my current version of 1.3.1.1

Ran the install again and upgraded my database.

Tried to log into my admin and customer account an all works fine - no issues with passwords.
