Ukoo - Guillaume
It seems that version 1.4 of PrestaShop manages shipping product. If you're on an older version you can also find a trick by giving the shipping costs per weight and assign a weight to 0kg to your services...(sorry for my english)
superbikecoach
thxi have 1.4.1, and i already did the weight thing, so that the shipping won't kick in with specific services.the problem is, that shipping is a step in the checkout, even though its a service. please advice
ella1007
You could activate one page checkout, under Preferences. However I have similar problem - already entered '0' for shipping (by $ and weight) and handling but the system still calculates/adds shipping when adding to cart?? Not even sure how it calculates it if everything is set to 0.Would love solution as well..
ella1007
I think you need to disable existing carriers on the back end, Shipping - Carriers (these are calculated outside your shop). Then create a new one and call it ex “Download” including the description. Set the shipping of this carrier to 0. Or you could create two carriers one for products, one for download and set separate shipping for both (this way you can control shipping cost). It worked for me :-)
superbikecoach
solvedi made a service to a 'downloadable product', which excluded the shipping step.it works great, and i plan to use the 'download' for the confirmation (and additional infos about the service) pdf.unfortunately that makes some trouble. the customer (test) gets an email after the payment is accepted, but does not offer a direct link to the 'downloadable product' (in fact my confirmation pdf), but to the order history and the invoice and details (which i think leads to the pdf). but with a click on 'details' or the order number i just get this error message:Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /mnt/webc/52/72/5961372/htdocs/shop/tools/smarty/compile/ee7aa1858482e28aa0daf5d4d62513619df48b54.file.order-detail.tpl.php on line 15please advice
