Very slow to add new product

Hi,

Someone has installed Prestashop (1.4.2.5) for me & it's my job to add the products.

My website is : www.the-internet-shop.co.uk

I'm finding it really slow in the back office to add a new product to the Catalogue. I have around 7000 categories at the moment and each time i try to add a new product it stalls and sits around for 4-5 minutes while it loads all those categories on the product page - I have to wait for this to load before i can enter a new product.

My question is ... is there any way to stop all those categories on the product entry page loading each time ?

Hi Guys / Girls,

Surely someone else has a large prestashop catalogue with 10,000's products - How do you overcome the slow (ie 4-5 mins to add a new product manually) BO loading time ?

Surely there must be a way of stopping the whole menu tree loading when adding a new product

me too, 1.4 is very slow and no solution yet.

please check at performance and make sure chache is enable, and try co use ccc, it will be faster.

i wish can hear better solution, cause i need faster (like 1.3).
