the search box position

Hello to everybody,..

I started using prestashop only few weeks ago...
I downloaded the last version....

Now i wanted to try to move the search box on the upper right corner of the index page to the center column (above editorial block center)... but i couldn't do it with the transplant function...

To be honest i'm not sure even if the module connected to the search box is the right one i see in the modules of the prestashop theme...

Before starting to study smarty language could please anybody help me finding out a way to do this, cause i was able to modify the css but not the position..

Hi,

this block has not been created to be moved in that place. So if you want to do that, you have to made a little development :

- creating a new .tpl file in your theme/[theme name]/modules/blocksearch/blocksearch-centercolumn.tpl
- Modifying the blocksearch.php file to add the appropriate hook method (you can see the example in editorial block module) and make it use the previously created file.


Don't hesitate to ask additionnal questions here

hello i m using prestashop for some days.

 

i installed a new theme and and i try to fix search bar on top -right pf the page and the search box is fixed but the search button moved on the top -left position.

 

i try to edit css(blocksearch.css) file but it was not connected to the search bar, and i tried to connect it but failed.

 

i need a little assistance in this.

 

please reply asap .
