[SOLVED] New Installation, getting error: Impossible to copy languages's flags.

Recommended Posts

I'm on Step 4 of setting up a shop and having trouble getting to next step. If I click NEXT without selecting a logo, i get no error message it just fades the buttons out and then back in. After selecting a logo, I get the following error:

Impossible to copy languages's flags.

This is very frustrating and I would like to continue with this install. I already dropped Magento for requiring some stupid extensions that weren't normally enabled on the common LAMP server, now I get this strange message which I can find no documention on anywhere... I just downloaded and setup the most recent version. Please help.

Brian.

OK. now i was able to upload the image after re-setting the permissions for the entire /img/ folder (including containing files/folders) and my logo appears on the page, however, the problem still persists with the Next button. It will not do anything but fade to disabled, then fade back...

Now, If I uncheck the box that reads "", i get the following error:

Error while inserting data into the database:

Then if I check it back the error stays, and again, the Next button does not do anything. I'm assuming since there is a colon with nothing after it, something is wrong here somewhere. This is a bit frustrating and makes want to start all over.

Ok. I just deleted everything and started over. I still got the same message when trying to upload the logo on Step 4, however it moved forward past that step to the "install complete" message. The back end section is working fine, however on the front end of the shop, only the logo is visible and this is the HTML for the page:

<body id="index">

           <!-- Header -->

           <!-- Left -->

           <!-- Center -->

<!-- Right -->

<!-- Footer -->

       </body>

Not sure what's going on here, but i'm guessing some kind of permissions issue again. I'm going to recheck the permissions but wow what a journey.
