Possible UPS shipping option

I still have not found any module that would enable full shipping integration with UPS. However, I have been toying with things (v. 1.3.4) and figured out a way to run UPS shipping within the basic prestashop which is basically a setup like setting up USPS. There is one problem with it however and I am hoping that an easier solution that I thought of could be created that would enable shipping with any carrier. It would not be a thing that would go to UPS and update regularly and automatically and the fees would need to be updated when UPS makes updates, but this will generally work unless someone is shipping some seriously heavy or large items that would not use the typical shipping by weight method. I think that since most people generally are not complaining about setting up prestashop with USPS and updating the rates manually...so...this option may be an acceptable alternative for those needing a free UPS setup option until automatic shipping with UPS and others becomes available.
This is the situation:
I went through and setup "UPSZone"s 1-8 as noted by UPS shipping rate charts based on my zip code.
Then I set up another set of each state and noted the zone for each state as with setting up USPS.
However, the problem I ran into was that prestashop then showed each state twice...once for USPS and once for the UPS setup.
In my tests, since I set up USPS first and UPS second...the first state listing in the customer address listed was asociated with and would enable USPS in the shipping option of the cart; however, if the second listing of the state were selected, then USPS does not show as a shipping option and UPS does. In sum...instead of prestashop seeing that both shipping methods are available for each state...it lists the state twice with 1 option each. The problem I have found is that in the shipping in the back office each state will only permit one zone to be attached to it. And multiples of each state only causes confusion.
SOLUTION OPTION: I do not know how to write code...I can tinker with some things and kind of figure some things out but this would not be one of them...If prestashop developers can (hopefully simply) add the option of permitting multiple zones for each state (say up to about 5) with drop down menu's for each...then we could set up separate zones for each carrier (ie. USPS1, USPS2, etc...UPS1, UPS2, etc...and FEDEX1, FEDEX2, etc). I am thinking that prestashop
will be able to have one state listing but have up to say 5 associated delivery options (zones) available for using, thus enabling using multiple shipping options.
Can this be done and will it work. If it does, I say lets move forward with some kind of a solution to build from. Hopefully this can be done as something like a module but others would know best.
