1.3 to 1.4.2 themes

Hi

Would I be correct in thinking that I can now update my 1.3 store to 1.4.2 and still keep the same design but with the new features?

Hi,

All templates made for Prestashop 1.3 or older are not compatible to Prestashop 1.4... in Smarty 3.
You can try to change setting to smarty 2 compatibility in Prestashop 1.4... to use your older template, but this will not be anymore possible in future Prestashop 1.5...

This can be don in your Prestashop admin/Preferences

Hi,

thats what i am worring too... i was using 1.3 based tempalte and it can't function on 1.4
it requires some config.xml file.... don't much know about what config it requires...

there should be legacy support for older versions modules, themes or etc... to work on newer version. like joomla has...

i am just trying 1.4 as 1.3 has some tax calculation issues, it can't calculate tax properly.

please prestashop moderator help... on this.
