sholm
I am having the same issue. Everything went fine in the Upgrade but I can't put any text onto the front page using the Home Page editor Configure under Modules. How did you solve this? Thanks. whywhy
Just uploaded the module from the old version (replacing the new one), works fine now.
sholm
I am new at this. How do you copy over the module? Which one? The 1.3 version I was running had my logo and search button in wrong place and could never figure out how to move them around. The new version puts them where they should be and don't want to mess that up if possible.
whywhy
You don't need to touch the theme files, just go to the modules folder of your 1.3 version, copy the editorial folder and paste into your modules folder of the new version (I suppose on ftp) and overwrite it. That will not change where your logo and search buttons are placed
rudders18
HiThis problem normally happens if you upgrade from 1.3 and have not copied across the XML file from the old module. It appears that 1.4 holds the home page information in the DB and not the XML file but if an old XML file is not there when you upgrade then the DB is not setup correctly. If you uninstall the 1.4 home page module and re-install it should all work but you will have to manually add in your home page text.Hope this helps others. sholm
Yes I figured it out yesterday. I just went into the modules and uninstalled the Home text Editor and then reinstalled it. It came up with a bunch of French text and I just overwrote those with mine and it works fine now. Thanks.
