HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): after installing module?

Hi,

i have a module named "ImportFast" after clicking install in the prestashop backend i was presented with the 500 Server error as follows:

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.magtude.com/eazzy/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

I have looked into permissions, removed the module, however it is still appearing. I am finding this very strange.

Can someone please assist me with this

Make sure the proper permissions are also set for /modules

Perhaps a re-installation. I have tried your methods, and the advise of my host but no luck. I have set folder permissions to 0755 and files to 0644 as told to do so by my host. set permissions throughout to 0755 and 0777. removed the module named "importfast" which caused this 500 error. thankyou

If you have cpanel try to log in and look at Error Log. Try to paste here few lines. Maybe we can help you

i do yes, however nothing is displayed in the error log as to the cause of the problem. Although when this happened yesterday it displayed a missing image in the modules folder from the selected module. this log is now not showing.

Hello, I have same problem with installing any of the product slider modules. Other new modules install without any problems.

 

What my error log says after one module installation:
