spot of bother with CSS

Hello!

I'm having a spot of bother modifying the original prestashop theme. The CSS i'm writing only seems to work in firefox (i'm testing with firebug) and not in safari or IE? namely gradients etc. does anyone know how to resolve this? http://www.premiergrow.com/

Also the CMS footer with the "powered by prestashop" on seems to have gone wild!

Not only that, the 'timeline' for the checkout payment procedure seems to have changed radically!

but more than that, there's some mysterious dots on "my account".
