Why you do not have much free modules on PrestaShop

Recommended Posts

Hi,

i made some free module for Prestashop, there are download more than 10 000 times but 1 just receveived 1 donation and 2 thanks.

But I get this kind of message :

I can't believe you ask for donations when the configuration page for the Zopim chat module has absolutely no f**king clue as to what I am supposed to do to install the module. There is a blank text box field with zero explanation of what is supposed to be PUT in that field, and there is an instruction that says "copy the code as shown in bold below." And do what with it? WTF am I supposed to do with the copied code? Put the copied code where? Do WHAT with the copied code? jeezus christ, I don't think anyone could make a Settings page that is less instructive or more incomplete.

Jim

When you use a free module, if you think it's not clear or it can be improved, please do not insult the creator and talk courteously.

What a moron. Ignore him. Luckily there is a lot of friendly, thankful and polite people in the forum.

I think it's nice that there are a lot of free modules available. I have posted some myself and hope it encourages other programmers to do the same.
