Changing from version 1.4 to version 1.3.7

Hi

After hearing that Version 1.4 has a lot of issues/problems I have been advised to change my version 1.4 to 1.3.7 before I launch my website. Im not sure how to do this though, do I have to start totally from scratch in-order to use an older version??? Do I need to delete all my files in ftp and then download the 1.3.7 version??

Hi,
Yes, you will need to start from scratch, if you built your site in 1.4, and want to revert to 1.3.7 (Unless you have a backup of your site in 1.3.7) However you may not have any issues with 1.4 I am finding most of the problems are theme related, so a brand new site should work fine. If you really want to revert back, you can find 1.3.7 if you Google it. (I could not find it on the prestashop site.) Delete the 1.4 files, upload the 1.3.7 files. Also, be sure to clear out your database. The 1.4 database will not work with 1.3.7 Once that is all done, run the install

ok thanks for the advice. As I don't really want to have to start all over again I will carry on with 1.4 and hope for the best
