Hi,
On 1.4.0.17 version of PrestaShop (and 1.4.1), you will find a page content editor (a bit similar to Word editor). On this editor, just click on the picture (with a tree) next to the anchor picture. A popup appears which enables you to indicate the picture URL. You can also browse and choose a picture from your computer (a new popup appears, select upload, tick the box corresponding to the picture you want to add and click select). Then select your alignement (when applicable) and click on Insert. There you will have your picture in your CMS page!

I'm from PS team and I just answered above. The question was from NeedHelpNSC who is a newbee so I assume he/she is on PS 1.4.x. As I know that the solution I proposed works, I marked the post as "solved". I don't know about 1.3.2 : if the solution I proposed is not available, maybe this is not possible without an additional module or some coding...

Hi,
The best way would be to migrate to PrestaShop 1.4.2 (live within one week) which will be very stable (all bugs known as of today will be fixed in this release). You will also have, among other features, an improved upgrade process. If you can't migrate now, this is a pitty but maybe you can copy the code of the editor in 1.4.2 and paste it into you 1.3.2.
Cheers!

I appreciate your response to upgrade - but I am not a techie I am a budding merchant - If a facility is available in PS I would expect it to work not just be told to upgrade. I presume if upgrade I will have to redo all the minor code tweeks I had to make to get 1,3,2 to function properly!
FRom my limited undertsanding and reading upgrading is not that easy for a lay person. will 1.4.2 do it automatically??

Hi,
The upgrade process has been improved in 1.4.2 but it's still not a one click upgrade : we are working on it for 1.5 version ;-)
On 1.4.x you will be able to keep the code tweeks you make (even if you upgrade to a new version) thanks to overriding. More details here : http://www.prestashop.com/blog/article/modules_override_or_web_service_all_the_tools_you_need_to_personalize_your_/
So if you do it now, no need to do it again later.
My advice : do a full copy of your site and your database (you won't modify any of them). Then do your upgrade process on a local copy of your website. Report all your minor tweeks with overriding, check that everything is all right (including the CMS part) and at last move to production.
If you were to find any blocking issue (we definitely work on fixing all of them), you will be able to import the old database and website and everything will be working as before.
Cheers

I have exactly the same problem!!!
I have tried several times to insert an image into my cms text without success. I click on the tree "insert image" but it only wants an URL Image. I cannot upload from my desktop/computer.
Please help me.

Hi,
Here is your input from the PS team ;-)

Indeed the text editor is available in the 1.3.x version. The image button is also available BUT you cannot browse your computer to upload files. This feature is only available in the 1.4.x version (see the screen capture : the new feature is in red).
So, for 1.3.x version the easiest is to enter the image URL (that's not a very simple way, I admit...). You can create a subfolder company in img folder with the pictures related to your company for example. Then your pictures will be available via www.yoursite.com/img/company/our_team.jpg
Be careful not to use spaces or special character while naming your pictures!
