starxox
Hi, I have a custom made theme, running on prestashop 1.3.2I'm wanting to upgrade when 1.4.2 comes out, so I tested my theme on the theme validator.I got a message saying the following files were missing./order-opc.tpl/category-cms-tree-branch.tpl/config.xml/restricted-country.tpl/products-comparison.tpl/product-compare.tpl/stores.tpl/guest-tracking.tpl/order-opc-new-account.tplDoes anyone know how I go about getting/making these files?ThanksLouisa
pb4sc
Hi, I also tested my theme. It had many of the same errors as you. (Kinda disappointed in the theme checker. No real help)However, after I did the install it worked. I would try it out on WAMP first. pb4sc
kenza750
I got exactely the same "missing files" from the theme validator.Maybe this are files which come with the standard 1.4 theme?besides these 9 missing files, I've also have 41 missing css files and tons of getPageLink is missing errors. Maybe I'll try first on WAMP.
pb4sc
Hi, I spoke too soon. It did not work. Besides getting javascript errors in IE8, the link to the "View larger image" did not work, and was giving me an error in my server log. I reverted my site back to 1.3 My assumption is that these issues are due to my theme, but I really cannot be sure.pb4sc
PrestaSupport
The best way to get your theme work is to build it from presta default theme 1.4Then merge your old img folder with the new img folder, also put your global.css to the new themeI have a detailed guide for this in my blog www.prestashop-planet.com/blog
pb4sc
Thanks Sampras. I will check it out since I am going to need to do it. I spent a lot of time working on my previous theme; and the fact that I have to do it again, just to get an upgrade, kinda rubs me the wrong way. It is what it is, and I might as well get started. I understand if you feel a lack of enthusiasm if you just made a 1.3 template
