rawkinrich
Hi,My colleague (who is not technical, just operates the store) wants to backup the database on a regular basis. I have done this myself following the instructions here http://www.prestashop.com/wiki/back_up_your_database/.But this may be very difficult for him to do, and he doesn't have access to cPanel or phpMyAdmin (as its my hosting account!).Is there a simpler way for him to 1-click backup the database? Many thanksRichard
Guest
You could simply do it for him...
rawkinrich
Correct I could, however he wants to be able to do it himself without asking me evey so often.
Guest
I suggest you to put a cronjob for that...
rawkinrich
Ok, can you point me in the right direction to do that? Or would it be better to ask my host for automated backups of the database?Richard
Guest
If you are using a CP like cpanel or plesk, do search on they forums about that... Or maybe as you said your host can help you...

Dave Egerton
Also don't forget with 1.1 backup option is included for store administrators and that is easy for them to understand
rawkinrich
To be honest I daren't upgrade - it's took a good while getting the store right, and we configured the search so its more accurate and searches on words with 3 characters or more.I can see it messing the store up
