reclipse3
Prestashop is great software! However, if you want to REALLY improve it, make it so that only logged in registered customers see a link beneath each product (on the product’s page), next to the Send to friend link called, “Product Code”. When they click it, they’ll be able to copy/paste the code for that product anywhere they want (e.g. their own website(s), myspace page, etc.).And then (important part), allow the referral/rewards program to be integrated where it gives each customer who brought in a new customer from advertising on their myspace page or wherever, reward points, to be used as a voucher in your store. This would of course give people a BIG incentive to promote someone's store and MAKE MONEY doing so, all while increasing a shop owner's sales! If this can't/won't be implemented into the software, hopefully a modder out there will be inspired and create it. If so, I know for sure people would PAY for it, easily.
Travis
Something like google advertisements but for your website on other peoples websites, myspace or other webpages?
reclipse3
Just like you can copy/paste YouTube videos all over the place. Just allow registered customers the ability to copy/paste YOUR shop's products all over the place and earn commission for successful sales (profit sharing). If PS had this ability, I bet many people would switch from other shop software. Though, others will quickly copy this great idea too. Whoever's the first to do it though, will gain most of the market share. (hint hint!) nibari
Also thought about this, would be great to have a feature for rewarding product referrals.Amazon implemented it years ago, and very successfully IMO.Regarding the customer referral program, vouchers/points etc. should only be issued if the new customer actually buys something (status = delivered/shipped etc.) or at least a specified minimum amount. Or you will have customers referring themselves and signing up with another e-mail address.Issued vouchers/points should be held temporarily (locked for x days) and taken back if there's a chargeback or payment refunded for some reason (e.g. returned merchandise).Vouchers/points need an expiry date (similar to airline miles), e.g. rewarded within same month/year = valid for z months/years
