Category Description HTML - Add Reference to Assets URL

I am currently working on Prestashop 8.2, migrating from another platform, the existing categories on that platform have an HTML description field which contains references to different assets such as PDF Files or static HTML Files that point to products or search terms, like an interactive diagram, when clicking on a part of that diagram it takes you to the product page or to a search result based on a certain term.

I've noticed that I can upload Files into Prestashop, but I haven't found a way to have them published and to obtain an actual URL for that file that I can "<a href" to my category description, documentation is rather scarce in this area and the suggestions aren't working at all, such as https://<store domain>/documents/<file name>.
