Maxflor
Hello, please, has anyone encountered a problem with the Stripe module during payment? When a payment is entered, it is processing and suddenly the page crashes and throws an error 500 - in addition, the order comes to the Prestashop backoffice and the payment also goes through. I'm already solving it with Stripe support, but it's been dragging on for several days and they can't figure anything out. Has anyone encountered this? Thank you very much for the guidance
Prestashop Addict
You must ask Stripe support on addons this is not an open source part of Prestashop
Maxflor
I just wondered if it could be blocked by a separate prestashop or some plugin/theme or something like that. Everything was working fine for me until now and suddenly this error... That prestashop does whatever it wants - last time I couldn't add product images and I found out that it had a bad eventbus module update. Disaster... Prestashop Addict
You should never update modules on a live e-commerce website. It should be better to have a staging website and make all tests on it. A simple module upgrade (even from Prestashop) can make your website down 😞 For the instance I recommend you to activate debug mode to see the origin or look at server error php/apache logs if you have access
Maxflor
When I put it in debug mode and tried the payment, it didn't throw any errors... I don't know if I'm looking at it wrong or what, and yes, I'm aware that everything should be tested first and then updates made... But not everyone has the space for that. Maxflor
They're just still trying to figure out the error from Stripe and it's been dragging on for a few days - so I wanted to figure something out on my own...

Maxflor
The debug mode doesn't show any errors... I've already reinstalled the new Stripe module that support sent me - they're also trying to solve the problem - I gave them my login details so we'll see - they tried testing it too and couldn't tell me what the problem is yet... So I'm waiting for their verdict.
Smart-Web
@Maxflor did you ever resolve this with Stripe support? We are having the same issues... Thanks
Knowband Plugins
If no error on the screen in the debug mode, then it's advised to check the server error log.

They sent me a newer module version and the same thing... Again, just a list of emails, two weeks later and nothing, I'm still waiting for a newer version of the module. Nickz Posted yesterday at 11:05 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:05 AM The stripe customer service was pretty good. You might re-approach with a petition to escalate as you are not alone.
Maxflor Posted yesterday at 11:48 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 11:48 AM Same disaster. I've been dealing with them for over a month, no solution and over and over again, try to install this module, then another version and over and over again... And no solution - pure disaster. Thank you very much for the guidance Expand Ok, so we had the same issue and we solved it. The problem in our case was another module (Free module Advanced Wishlist by Prestahero). One of it's variables was conflicting with the Stripe module. We ended up employing a dev that could solve this for us. So my suggestion would be to disable one module after the next and see which one causes the issue. Then track down the problem within the module to see what exactly causes the issue. The biggest hurdle of finding the issue was, that error reporting did not report back any errors. Good luck!
