View template on button or a href click by javascript or jquery

Hello,
I would like to show a (smarty) template when a customer clicks on a button or link (a href="*").
For so far, I created a module called Video which is inside the Module-folder. Whitin this module, i've created the folders:
"views->templates->front" which contains upload.tpl and addvideo.tpl.
The upload.tpl is displayed at the top of my website and shows currently a button with the text: Upload a movie.
For the rest the website contains a default template. What I would like to achieve is to load the addvideo.tpl by javascript or jquery so it also shows the current language. It's like the default 'quick view' of Prestashop's product-listview but with my own template and language settings.
