myndcraft
Hello everyone the webstore I am setting up is for a small boutique putter maker. Most of their work is custom and won't be offered thru the store, but a few demo/spec putters will be. I'm wondering how I can make this work.I want to have Putter Model A listed as an item. When you select putter A you select right handed or left handed. Okay so there is an attribute "Handed" with two options left or right. We have 1 right handed and one left handed so I add a right handed attribute with quantity 1 and same for the left. That all works fine. The problem is what I would call secondary attributes. The customer can select a lie angle, but how do I do that? The range of values should be 67 - 75.So againSelect putter Right Handed (Qty 1) Lie (67-75) this is an option of choosing right handed Left Handed (Qty 1) Lie (67-75) this is an option of choosing left handedUnfortunately I don't feel like I'm doing a very good job of explaining this, but hopefully someone understands what I'm getting at. Are you trying to configure an attribute that forms a subset of another attribute? i.e. once selected Right Hand then show Lie Angle X - Y; if selected Left Hand then show Lie Angle P - QAssuming the same Lie Angle is used regardless of L/R hand, wouldn't you simply create a new Attribute Group called Lie Angle then add attributes for 67, 68, ... 75 to this Attribute Group.Hope this help. I am attempting to show the same lie angle options regardless of the hand that is specified. And indeed I did create a new attribute group and populated it with the various lie angles. When all is said and done my combination tab appears as shown in the first picture. The problem though I think is in the second picture. In that picture you see my cart. I had selected the right handed option and the 72 degree lie angle, but for some reason the cart is showing ALL the lie angles not just the selected. rocky
It looks like you made the same mistake I made when I first created attributes. Did you use the product combinations generator to create the attributes?
myndcraft
No I did not. Should I be? Any quick walkthrus? I think I tried using it once, but I don't recall the result being any different.Correction - I just tried using the product generator and this time when I added the product to my cart it worked, but here I think is the issue. It (according to the picture below) looks like I have 9 right handed models in stock (1 in each lie angle). That is in correct. I have ONLY 1 right handed model, but we can adjust the lie angle to whatever the customer selects. I need to make sure that if someone where to buy the Right-handed at 70* that someone else couldn't turn around and buy a right handed at 72*.
