How can I change how products gets adds to cart?

Is it possible to do the following when adding product to the cart that they get added like inviduel products instead of grouped products?

So it looks like this in the cart overview:

Product 1 price 200$
Product 1 price 200$
Total price = 400$

Instead of

Product 1 Quantity = 2 price 200$
Total price = 400$

Don't know which PS version do you use, but in my 1.4.0.17 adding same products in cart will group them as you described ...

Why would you want a feature like that ?
10x times the same product, for example? The more articles in your cart, the sooner you will run into sql performance problems and other limits
