Daresh
On December 13, 2024, a new EU directive, the GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation), will come into effect. It requires that in an online store, for every product that poses a risk to consumer health and safety during use, the following information must be provided: Manufacturer (full name or first and last name) Registered trade name of the manufacturer or registered trademark Manufacturer's address, including the country of establishment Single point of contact address (if different from the manufacturer’s address) Manufacturer’s email address Point of contact email address Information about the product importer (similar to the manufacturer's information) Information about individuals or entities responsible for placing the product on the EU market (if not the manufacturer or importer) Product image Product description – it should refer exclusively to the offered item. Product composition and/or dimensions (if applicable) Type of packaging (if applicable) Product labeling (certificates and approvals) Categories of consumers at risk when using the product, particularly children and the elderly Safety information or documents concerning the product (in a language understandable to the customer) Many of these requirements can be met by carefully editing the product description, ensuring accurate images, and attaching relevant documents as PDF files. What PrestaShop does not have by default is the ability to mass-add information about the manufacturer/importer/entity responsible for placing the product on the EU market. To avoid having to add this information to each product individually, the following module comes to the rescue. The module adds an additional field named "GPSR Information" on the backend manufacturer (brand) page, where you can input the required information common to all products from that manufacturer. Subsequently, a GPSR tab (the name can be changed via the translation panel) is added to the product page, displaying this information. Additionally, the module allows you to automatically add the manufacturer's name and logo before the product description, enabling you to focus on the contact information within the description itself. It is also equiped with a category-based warning and markings system, allowing you to manage specific warnings and marking for products. [DEMO] If you prefer to display this information somewhere other than the additional tab, the module can be hooked to any hook available on product page, as it functions as a widget. I invite you to use the module to simplify the implementation of this regulation: GaPSeR module on CodeCanyon Edited November 29, 2024 by Daresh (see edit history)
Daresh
I just added a new feature to the module - a small information panel, showing if there are any products that do not have a manufacturer (brand) assigned. The list of products my be easily exported to a CSV file to fill in the missing information, and then imported using the built in PrestaShop import feature. Daresh
New feature - Category based warning and marking system. Using this approach, you can quite easily add required information or markings to your product page. All you need to do is: 1. Create a new category with description or image filled in, under a special GPSR category as a parent. 2. Assign products to this new category. This way, a warning and (or) marking will be displayed: [GaPSeR module]
Daresh
The module has just received a new feature – a panel that allows you to conveniently assign manufacturers to products in bulk. [GaPSeR module]
Daresh
And another useful feature - mass assignment of warning and label categories to products. [GaPSeR module]
ComGrafPL
Hi there, You think it will work with Creative Elements? Cheers
Daresh
It needs to be checked, but I’m pretty sure it won’t work. I believe Creative Elements only attaches itself to fields it explicitly recognizes
ComGrafPL
Some modules can be attached by short code either "module" option. Have few stores on it. Do you have any trial license to test it out?
Daresh
Maybe this module can also be attached this way, as it is developed as a widget. No trial license for this module.
