luismfbsilva061980
I had the website in production, but after trying to make a change to the theme and it stopped working, to make matters worse I mistakenly deleted some files on the server... Now the question is, how can I install everything again without losing customer records and their orders? I just need to not lose that, the rest I can put together quickly... Can anyone help me? Divine
Then you can download a backup of your shop from your host provider and take only the folder of the theme to replace it on your server.

Well, what I removed were module folders that I use and are not part of the template... For me, the simplest thing would be to remove everything and place the original template, but as I said before, customers and orders need to be kept
Divine
You removed module folders in the theme or at the root of your shop ?

Divine
So that's well what I said : you remove you actual theme folder on your server, you download a backup of your shop from your host provider (many host providers offer daily or weekly backups), then you take only the theme folder from the archive downloaded and you place it on your server where was the one you removed. It will not impact any of the data of your shop.

How do I reset? These are not the prestashop modules, but those of the institutions, and there are rewritten files... For me, as I said, it was just a matter of keeping the customer database, addresses and orders... The rest is no problem at all.
Divine
Hmm... yes the modules you've added will not be included. If you just replace some folders or files on your server like your theme or some modules, it will not have any impact on your data. You will keep customers, addresses and orders because they are stored in your database and changing those files will not touch at the database. Anyway, to restore your files, you must have a backup. If you have absolutely no backup, you will not be able to restore anything. So you have to find a backup of the files of your shop. Just tell me one thing, can I delete the entire store and install it again using the same DB without affecting customers and orders? The rest I can lose everything, it's okay
Divine
No, if you delete your entire store, including database, it will delete all your data. But you can make a backup of your database, then delete your entire store and then, import your database backup in the new installation. But I don't understand why you want to delete your entire store whereas you only have to retrieve the files you have deleted ? Just find a backup of those files if you can and replace them on your server. If you don't have any backup, delete your entire store will not help you. I don't delete the DB, just the prestashop files. The version I have installed is 8.1.7 and I would install it from scratch again but using the DB I have there. Is it possible? Divine
Yes it is possible but it is not an easy process. I recommand to only replace the needed files and not to reinstall the entire store.
przemex
Solution: 1. check exactly what version of PrestaShop you have 2. download it https://pl.prestashop.com/versions/ 3. upload files via FTP, note do not upload the app/config/parameters.php file 4. delete the contents of the var/cache directory, if you have any directories in the cache directory, delete these directories 5. reload the store from the keyboard, simultaneously press Ctrl+Shift+R
