Cache system trouble [PS V1.7.6.9] - (Solved)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

It seems i started experiencing some issues regarding the cache. When i inspect the elements in browser console, it seems to render them from the themes cache folder and not the original file location. This did not happen before and i never encountered this anywhere, so i don't even know where else to go.

For context:

I'm using warehouse theme v4.3.7

I have JPresta - Page Cache Ultimate installed and i cleared the cache like i did before many times and it works. I also cleared the PrestaShop cache from back-office.

I recently installed Google WebP Generator Configuration and it worked fine until now. I talked to the developers and asked if this could be a problem but they did not answer since yesterday so i don't know what is going on there but like i said, after installation it was fine.

The only other change i did before this was to remove some font declaration from custom.css  and moved them to the theme "Custom font face include" in"live theme editor" in back-office. I moved them back to custom.css because i was hoping from some other results, but they did not work. As far as i can tell this was some sort of trigger point for all of this but don't understand why if it is

Now, this comes with another issue with the homepage. At some intervals it seems to not render the styles and i have to manually clear JPresta - Page Cache Ultimate for it to work....

I added a image from browser console for context and highlighted what i mean about elements rendering from cache folder.

Thank you, it seems to have worked. I also forced recompile of templates and deleted local overrides than reactivated the CCC for css. I still don't understand why this happened because it was working fine.

Anyway, it's good for know.

Hi, I was waiting to see what happens, and it seems that the problem is reoccurring. It keeps caching things in themes/warehouse/cache/ even tough i disabled, CSS, JS and Optimize for Apache settings. I also disable cache and recompile of templates etc. and manually deleted everything from theme cache folder but still nothing. Hoping to get some other advice.

Thank you for the advice. The thing is that after installing the module, there was an increase in load speed, but perhaps there was not a good configuration in place. Right now i disabled CCC from PrestaShop again like @juanrojas said, and it seem to hold. I will try to experiment in the future with disabling different modules that use cache to see if there is any difference. To test, I will have to keep deleting cache to see true results, but that makes it run slow for the users. I have a module that rebuilds it, but it seems that it's not doing its job very well.

Anyway, thank you for the advice, it's clear to me that there is a conflict with the modules and without testing , there is no way to knowing what is going on.

yes, that is issue with cache modules, they create issues you can not replicate.  tip:  you would only disable CCC of .css and .js files if the name of the CCC'ed files are different across different page types, index/category/product...view source to check file names....if same then CCC is very helpful.  our agency has  solved many clients  issues over time removing js cache,  other modules that suggest performance....

good luck
