Back end issue with catalog- product

Hello 

I installed Prestashop 8.2.0 locally on Ubuntu 20.4 running Cloudpanel at https://opencart.onlinewebsolutions.co.uk/ and the front end seems to be working fine. however, when I try to click on the products link in the back end I am been redirected to the homepage.

When I copy the link from the back end, it is https://opencart.onlinewebsolutions.co.uk/              /index.php/sell/catalog/products?_token=_"removed." However, I get taken to https://opencart.onlinewebsolutions.co.uk/index.php.

The demo and modules were installed as part of the installation process and the install folder was deleted.

Prestashop was installed by transferring the files via FTP.

Any suggestions?

Are there any suggestions as to why the admin backend would take me to the store homepage when clicking on products in the backend?

 

some of the links do work but the products catalogue takes me back to the home page and if I use the quick link at the top of the admin panel to add a new product it opens a small box displaying the front store header.
