Website Bandwith Increases

My website is not accessible due to exceeded bandwidth. I can increase it but that will not solve the problem.

I checked all the tools and found no issues and no sudden increase of visits.

Does anyone have any clue where to look and solve the problem.

you need a different hoster.
You always can ask staff, but should they behave as staff usually behaves you need to move.
A suitable VPS costs you below $100 per year, server set up $120 one time.

If You're sure that it's not legitimate traffic, then You might need to increase Your server security. I would like to suggest to use cloudflare and enable bot fight.

Also, You can review the traffic and create waf rules to protect Your site with cloudflare

Your bandwidth issue might be due to bot traffic or a DDoS attack. I agree that checking your access logs is a great place to start. Cloudflare is a solid recommendation for its bot protection and WAF features, which can help prevent malicious traffic. Alternatively, if your traffic looks normal, you might consider using Cloudflare to offload some of the bandwidth and reduce strain on your server.

Are you aware that once you used cloudflare and wish to return to a VPS - Dedicated set up you need to redo several paths on your shop?

Thanks for the important reminder! Sure, PrestaShop requires reconfiguring several paths and settings. DNS records need updating to point to the VPS or dedicated server IP address. The SSL certificate needs to be correctly configured, and alternative caching mechanisms should be set up since Cloudflare's caching and performance enhancements will no longer be active. Any security rules or firewall settings from Cloudflare should be replicated on the server. Any paths or URLs modified for Cloudflare must be reverted, and external services like payment gateways or shipping modules should be correctly configured for the new setup. 🤪
I agree it's quite a hassle, but it's a workable solution. And if it's exactly what the person asking the question needs, why not? In any case, it's up to him to decide how much effort he will put in.

everything is doable in IT its just a question of the price.
If redoing takes a week, in under a week you can do a new site having all material and no too many products.
