Email Function Broken – Attachments Not Sending via Contact Form

Hi everyone !

I'm experiencing a critical issue on my PrestaShop website, and I would need assistance to solve it...

Issue:
Customers are submitting attachments through our contact form, but we are not receiving these attachments via email. This problem is severely impacting our business operations, as receiving these pictures is essential.

 

What I've Tried So Far:

I contacted the developer of the contact form module we use. They confirmed that:

The module is functioning correctly.

Files can be uploaded to the server.

However, emails (with attachments) are not being sent because the mail function seems to be broken.

They suggested that the Mail.php file might have been modified or corrupted.

They recommended checking if any developers have altered the Mail.php file or contacting PrestaShop for more details.

 

My Request:

Has anyone encountered a similar issue where the email function stops working, specifically affecting the sending of attachments?

How can I verify if the Mail.php file has been corrupted or modified?

What steps can I take to fix or replace the Mail.php file to restore the email functionality?

 

Our website is on PrestaShop Version: 8.1
