broken database backup sistem Prestshop 1.6

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with the database backup on my PrestaShop installation. When I start the backup, it begins processing, but suddenly I get hit with a 500 error page.

When I return to the backup page, I see a backup file, but it's incomplete and missing several tables.

Does anyone have tips on how to resolve this? I'm worried about making changes without a reliable backup.

Hi,

The internal system offered by PrestaShop^ is absolutely unreliable and should not be used. You should either use a third-party database backup module, such as those available from Addons, or backup manually using a solution such as phpMyAdmin or Adminer.

Hi, certainly a php timeout issue. If you cannot chanhe it, prefer use an external utility like phpMyAdmin or any mySQl admin manager in your host provider.
