Sergio L
Hello, most probably I'm the culprit, but I've seen a lot of threads with people struggling to make it work. I come from Cs-Cart and I'm trying to switch to Prestashop. So, I've abilitated the the multistore, set a second store on a physical directory /us/ , but it's not working. With the physical directory I shouldn't need the rewrite rule, correct? The first time I set it up I was able to show only the website, but the HTML was very confused because the CSS weren't loading. Then I added the folder /us/ (for US store) and now the shops says "403 , Forbidden, Access to this resource on the server is denied!" . The directory is anyway empty. Can you please help me clarify a bit things here?
Knowband Plugins
To resolve the "403 Forbidden" error in your PrestaShop multistore setup: 1. Check Permissions: Ensure `/us/` directory has `755` for folders and `644` for files. 2. Enable Rewrite Rules: Ensure mod_rewrite is enabled and `.htaccess` is properly configured. 3. Correct URL Setup: In Multistore, ensure the base URI for the second store is `/us/`. 4. Regenerate .htaccess: Regenerate it by disabling/enabling friendly URLs in SEO & URLs. This should fix the issues.
Sergio L
Thank you Knowband, I thought it was something like that, but I didn't want to mess with the server settings. In top of that I had problems with the template and the blog module, since I modified that after I split the stores. I also heard of people having problems with modules if installed before or after the division to multistore. I decided at the moment to go with one store, eventually multilanguage, multiwarehouse, with localization and geo-redirection.
