Module Marketing with Google - Specifying the countries

Recommended Posts

My shop is based in Cyprus (EU) and my base currency is the €. The module accepts all coutries in the Eurozone but as soon as I try to expand the list of countries by adding the USA, UK, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, etc., I get a pop up that says ''Your products could not be synchronised with Google at the moment. Please try later''.

Did anyone else have this problem? Are the different currencies causing it?

Thank you.

Hi,
Verify that the currencies for the USA (USD), UK (GBP), Canada (CAD), Australia (AUD), etc., are enabled in your PrestaShop settings.
Go to International > Localization > Currencies in your PrestaShop back office.
Ensure that the currencies you need (USD, GBP, CAD, AUD) are enabled

Also make sure that your Google Merchant account is set up to accept products in multiple currencies and for multiple countries.

So Prestashop have fixed part of the issue. All countries not in the Eurozone zone (e.g. USA (US$), CANADA (CA$), UK (£), etc.) have been succesfully uploaded with their own currencies. But none of our products are 'live' for these countries due to 'Mismatched currency in shipping information'. Basically, for the UK as an example, the product prices are now correctly in £ but the shipping rates are in €.

I referred this new issue again to Prestashop, they reported that they also fixed this a few days ago, but still the mismatch remains even though our product and shipping settings feed was uploaded to Google a couple of times since the fix. So I reported the persisting issue again to Prestashop and I am waiting for the team to look into it.

If anyone else has got to this stage please let me know if you managed to fix it.

Thank you.

Another update. Prestashop advised me the following:

''I would like to inform you that our module transmits the information as it is to Google and does not make any modifications. The shipping rates are automatically sent in euros for all countries''.

This is a major problem of the module because it sends a feed to Google, say for the USA for example, with the product prices in US$ and the shipping rates to the USA in Euro. Immediately this causes Google to report a currency mismatch between the product prices and the shipping rates which results in all products being disaproved for the USA, hence you cannot promote any products in the USA.

I have asked Prestashop to review their module and fix this issue. I am not a developer so cannot be sure if there is a more efficient way to report this to Prestashop rather than just mention it in a support email. Any help would be appreciated.
