WillyA1941
Wow. Prestashop has changed a lot since I last used it. I keep coming across 'funnies'. and it's confusing. I created three categories. The top one was Thriller and its parent was Home I created three more categories. Spy Thrillers, Suspense Thrillers and Psychological Thrillers. When I go to View Shop. I have Thrillers on the Menu Bar and Psychological thrillers. With Suspense Thrillers and spy thrillers under Thrillers. Ideally, I would like to have Spy Thrillers, Suspense Thrillers and Psychological Thrillers all on the menu bar OR all under Thrillers. What stupid things have I done wrong? Divine
Hello, I think your menu is managed by a module that you can configure to make appear the categories you want on the bar. Could you check it ?
WillyA1941
Sorry for the delay in replying. I had to go off for a few days. I created a Category under Home --> Thrillers I created 4 categories under Thrillers Espionage Thrillers, Political Thrillers, Psychological Thrillers and Suspense Thrillers. So far, so good. I tried to create a second Category under Home --> Horror. When I view the shop, it doesn't show up. I went to products and added two books under the category Espionage Thrillers. No problem I added a book under category Political Thrillers, but when I view the shop it isn't there. I worked with Prestashop about 5 years ago and it worked like a charm This version is very different. I'm baffled
Divine
As I said, you should have a module that manage the menu and that you can configure. If there is indeed a module, change your categories will not have any effect, you must configure the module.
WillyA1941
I hear you, but I cannot find a module that does that. What is the name of the module? I can't find one.
Divine
It should be "Main menu" if you use default Prestashop theme. If you use a customized theme, it could be another module provided with the theme. In that case, you will have to ask directly to the developer of the theme.
WillyA1941
YES! I found it at last and I'm busy creating new sliders. Thanks to your help, I've got the menu working perfectly. But under 'Featured. There's a banner for a sofa sale which I want to get rid of, but I can't find it. Sofa sales and books don't quite gel. Do you perhaps know where I can find it? Divine
It should also be a module like slider module or something. If you want to see exactly which module is hooked on your homepage, you can go in the section "Appearance >> Positions" of your back-office and see which modules are hooked to the hook "displayHome".
