PayPal redirecting loop - Version 1.4.1.0

Recommended Posts

I am having same problems

I could not configure Paypal module in 1.4.07 so updated to 1.4.1. I can now configure but when I get to checkout it goes on about a redirect loop. I am using chrome.

I noticed when I had the older 1.4 version some people did not have any issues with this module and some did.

I wonder if its the same with 1.4.1.

Has anybody got Pay pal to work okay with 1.4.1. If so could they let us know and maybe it may be worth trying to reload another upload to see if that works.

A store without payment is useless. its in everybodies interest to sort this problem out.

Registered just to state I'm receiving the same problem.

First time installing Prestashop on my dedicated server, and am getting the exact same problem everyone else here is.

Running the latest version of Apache and PHP. Definitely is something that needs to be looked into, I'll do some more digging around and post a fix if I manage to find one.

Strangely, I just installed a new shop and tested the paypal function. It worked fine so It can't be a server issue.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the paypal module a couple of times so I'm wondering whether that did it. I think I also uninstalled some of the default payment modules (cheque, bankwire) and maybe that did something to affect paypal.

I think I may have to redo my whole shop, is there a way to transfer products from one shop to another?

After uninstalling all Payment modules except PayPal, it worked without a problem.

Looks like you stumbles upon the problem before I even had a chance to look at it.

Now I just have some authorization errors, but I'm sure that's just a fault of my own I can fix.

Would anyone else like to confirm this?

Edit: I was just using Live API details with sandbox mode enabled.

That doesnt help me unfortunately, because I still had the problem when I only had paypal installed, and all the other modules had been uninstalled.

I opened my shop today !!! and the PAYPAL Version installed with Presta 1.4 does not let me access the configure page. When I click on configure it keeps looping on the same page with TIP : Module uninstalled successfully !
I delted, uninstall, reinstalled, 3 times. no luck
all payment modules are disabled. I upoaded the two new PHP bug Fixes files made available by an administrator on the forum :http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/98010/P0/general_discussion/bugfix_paypal_2_dot_4_api__add_product_name__attribute__price__shipping__tax

NOTHING WORKS.
I am desesperate. My clients are waiting to pay.
How can I solve this ??
Thank you XXXXX

EDIT :
I made a step, the configure button now works and I was able to enter api, username in settings. But when I try to buy a product in check out, the page stucks on Please wait, redirecting to Paypal... Thanks.
Cancel

Does anybody know anything about this issue ?

REEDIT :
I SOLVED THIS PROBLEM BY DOWNLOADING PREStA V 1.4.1 ( THE LATEST AVAILABLE ) AND UPLOADING THE PAYPAL MODULE BY FTP TO THE SERVER !! It replaced the previous one and so fixed the bugs alone :-)
IT WORKS.

Hi

I am not an expert by any means but I had this issue and I went BO>Preferences>Performance and in the top box Smarty make force compile YES and Cache NO. then SAVE. then change back to Force compile No and Cache Yes.

I do not understand why but it worked for me.

Hope that helps somebody

I am pleased to say that at last I have got my paypal 2.4 working. no more redirect loop.

I deleted and re installed another PayPal module and it seems to have done the trick.

Also in BO>preferences>Performance at the bottom Caching needs to be disabled

many thanks to those who gave advice and especially to Marty Shue.

All I need now are some customers.!!!!

Finally I solved in my case after trying all other solutions posted.

In my case, Preferences->Performance->Caching->Disable

the smarty cache on top of that page can be enable but not the other one at the botton of that page.

I hope it helps-

Regards
