.php error after installing Webkul Affiliate module

Recommended Posts

PS v8.1.5 ~ php v8.1

I just bought and installed the Webkul Affiliate module... Affiliate Program | Referral, Reward & Discount (prestashop.com) and i was going through the config settings, everything was fine. then i changed one setting and now im getting a .php error. ill try to include as much info as possible.

this is the error from debug mode:

to clarify what happened. each settings page/section for the module, i would make changes, then save. the page would refresh, and id go to the next section. when i got to the section at the bottom of the first page (cashback configuration), i clicked save, the page refreshed, and now i get this .php error and cant access the page. the screenshot here is from the demo, since i cant access the page on my own backend

one thing to note. i can access all of the other sections of my back end, i can even access the other settings page for the affiliate module. the only page i cant access is the first configuration page for the module. so i cant make any changes to it. i even tried disabling the module and accessing the config page, and still get the .php error

any help is greatly appreciated

What happens when  undoing the setting?

Have you been in touch with the vendor of the module?

i cant undo the setting because when i try to go to that page i get the .php error. i tried disabling the module and i still cant access the config page.

i have not contacted the vendor yet. i was hoping someone more knowledgeable might find it an easy fix. its the weekend and i doubt i'd get a response from the vendor for at least a few days

The module is not apt for the current PHP/Symphony  version.

Installing a module is always tricky, moreso if you are not a developer yourself.
Install your store locally on localhost and test all there before you install modules.

Its highly unlikely to find someone with knowledge of a particular module here. Present that error to the developer of the module together with your current settings.

Just giving an update...

This module is absolutely terrible. Im not even going to go into the issues with it and how minimal it is with no features, but I highly recommend nobody touch it.

There is another module 3in1 Reward point: loyalty, referral, affiliate program (prestashop.com) that I just bought and its light years better, for the same price. If youre looking for an inexpensive module to have an affiliate/partner program this is it. it also has a rewards system, but i havnt used it yet.
