Category description not saving/changing.

Hey  everyone, got this issue where when I change the description of a category and press save, it doesn't seem to actually save, even though it said it did. Here's 3 screenshots just in case you don't know what I mean.

I click on the edit icon (red circle), go to the next page and edit the description, the click save. It says successful update (red rectangle) but the description is exactly the same. I even tried deleting the description completely and saving it, and it was still there.

If your changes don't update in Back Office even "Update successful" notification then it's rather not your theme's fault. It may be a browser/system cache related problem. Did you try using other browser or even other computer?

If issue persists kindly check if the issue is related to the any theme updation or please check if there is any other error in console, so that we could help you in better way

Yea ive tried chrome, firefox and edge. cleared cache. its been a while now and still persists. 

also, last night i tried to add some product attributes and its doing the same thing. when i click add or edit an attribute it doesnt save. features safe fine though.

im starting to think a file or something got corrupt, possibly from a module i installed and deleted. i must have tried and deleted 20 different free modules i didnt like. im on PS 8.1.5 and i think i may try to update to 8.1.5 and let it overwrite some files and see if that helps. i dont know what else to try
