sylwekb
Hello How to safely update Prestashop from version 1.7.8.11 to version 8.1.6. Should I do it using the 1-click upgrade module with the update main release option or by manually installing Prestashop 8.1.6 and transferring the data to this version? I understand correctly, Prestashop 8.1.6 has a lot of changes in the code compared to previous versions. Is there any proven instructions for this? AddWeb Solution
Hi, Backup Your Current Store Make sure your server meets the system requirements for Prestashop 8.1.6 Evaluate Compatibility Themes: Check if your current theme is compatible with Prestashop 8.1.6 or if you need an updated version. Modules: Check the compatibility of your installed modules with the new version. Set up a staging environment to test the upgrade process without affecting your live store. This can be a subdomain or a local server where you can duplicate your live store. Use the 1-Click Upgrade Module Click on “Upgrade Prestashop Now”. The module will handle downloading the latest version and performing the upgrade. Post-Upgrade Tasks Clear Cache Verify Functionalities Update or reconfigure any themes and modules as necessary. Until now, they were in a horizontal line. I showed in the screenshot. Can this be corrected so that they are in line? I now see an option to upgrade from 1.7.8.11 directly to the latest version of PrestaShop 8.2.0. After selecting the source "Wydanie główne", user have to click the “save” button which I didn't do before. Man sometimes regrets his own stupidity Key question.
