AcidLava
Hello, During an update from PS 1.7.8 to 8.1 via One Click Upgrade, I encountered the attached error. I tried uninstalling the native RGPD module as mentioned in this regard without success. The update went smoothly on an independent pre-production server. The site is hosted on o2switch, which cannot intervene on the MySQL settings on a shared server, but I doubt the problem comes from there and I am surprised that an update does not work on a server of this type. Any suggestions? Best regards,
AddWeb Solution
Hi, The specific error "General error: 2006 MySQL server has gone away" suggests that the MySQL server connection was lost during the operation, which can happen due to several reasons such as a timeout, server overload, or packet size limit. Try increasing the max_execution_time and memory_limit Disable any non-essential modules before attempting the upgrade again. Check the Prestashop log files for any additional error messages that could provide more insights into the issue. After the above changes, retry the upgrade process. Make sure that you follow the official Prestashop upgrade guidelines and that your server meets all the requirements for Prestashop 8.1. Thanks!
