Products with different carrier: unable to let customer choose the carrier

Hello,
we have two product types: bulky items shipped with carrier A and normal items with two carriers available, B (cheap but slow) and C (fast but more expensive).

If a customer puts in the cart one bulky item and one normal item, Prestashop sums shipping cost as carrier A + carrier C. Customer sees the sum of A+C rates but is not given the choice between carriers B and C for the normal item.

Carrier B is set as default carrier in BO ("best price").

Is there a way to force Prestashop to show in checkout both available carriers for the normal item, or to default choose the cheaper carrier instead of the faster one for the normal item?

Hi, normal way Prestashop display all available carriers, according to Zone/Country/Price or weight. It's not normal that you have only one visible in checkout process. Certainly carrier configuration issue.

Hello, yes when normal items are in the cart all available carriers are shown on checkout; but if the cart contains normal products and one bulky item, then only express courier is shown on checkout: this is OK for bulky items (they are shipped with express courier only) but customer cannot choose between all available carriers for normal items.

Shown shipping rate (€44) is €34 for bulky item + €10 express courier for the normal item; the cheaper carrier for normal item is not shown.

Prestashop can have only ONE carrier for order.

If I got it: there is no way to have in the same order one item shipped with carrier A and another shipped with carrier B; if the order includes also items that can be shipped with more than one carrier Prestashop picks for them the fastest carrier and not the one marked as default carrier in BO ("best price").

Is it not possible to change this and make Prestashop choose the default carrier?
