Smarty.net no longer available

I am about to start using Prestashop and noticed that it uses Smarty templating language. However today I also noticed that smarty.net is no longer live anymore and you are unable to see any of the documentation anymore.

If smarty is no longer a live project will this affect smarty in Prestashop for the long term >

Yes, they are aware of the problem, Smarty is still a live project https://github.com/smarty-php/smarty/issues/989
