mk2-pronat
Hello, I can't seem to find information on the following problem that i am facing. I want to add a type of “warranty” to specific products in cart. For example: PRODUCT-A is a glass bottle with the price of 1$. PRODUCT-B is a “warranty” with the price of 1$ that is automatically added to the cart when PRODUCT-A is added. The reason is you can return the intact glass bottle to the physical store and get the price of the warranty back. n this case the 1$ that the client paid extra because some bottles will have a specific logo and barcode that will facilitate this return. This is a new law in my country. So basically the final price is 1$(A)client choice + 1$(B)automatic rule = 2$(A+B) that the client pays when finishing the order. In short, i want to automatically add a specific product to cart for a selection of products. Is there some way of doing this because it will involve a large and random selection of products that will have this glass “warranty” added? mk2-pronat
I'm adding some information for a solution that i found for my issue. Because the price of the “warranty” or “guarantee” for the glass, plastic bottles has no VAT applied, i created a simple and standard product with the name “Warranty” and added all the necessary information that i needed like a label with the specific logo that appears on the bottles for customers to know that they can return the bottle and get the “Warranty” back etc. Next i created a standard group product and added the one i created (Warranty) and the glass or plastic bottle that will have this applied. Now when the client buys the bottle, they will see that it has an extra “Warranty” added to it and it also shows on the Invoice for business owners with 0(Zero) VAT. Anyway, i hope this helps someone because this “Warranty” need to be implemented with everyone in my country (Romania)
