mati7716
Permissions are assigned correctly. It seems to me that the updater cannot locate some .zip folder to unpack and that is why there is an error. Because during a clean Presta installation, the installer unpacks the prestashop.zip file
JBW
Oh sorry, you are installing (your subject said upgrade). In this case your server should be empty expect following files (including the missing prestashop.zip)
mati7716
You read that right, I'M UPDATING prestashop to version 8.x Error during UPDATE -> Make sure that the prestashop.zip file has been uploaded and is located in the same directory as this dezipper. I only suggested that there are 3 files during installation, one of which is in .zip format
JBW
Your screenshot is showing install screen, very confusing. How do your trigger the upgrade? For upgrade you should use free 1-click-upgrade module
mati7716
I am updating prestashop doing everything with correct guide. I was also surprised that the installation screen and not the update screen appeared. https://devdocs.prestashop-project.org/8/basics/keeping-up-to-date/upgrade/
JBW
Which method do you try? As stated on your linked page there are only 1-click-upgrade and CLI - I see neither on your screenshots

JBW
Thats not how you start the CLI upgrade. Please check the doc (https://devdocs.prestashop-project.org/8/basics/keeping-up-to-date/upgrade-module/upgrade-cli/) again. I still recommend you to use the module.... mati7716
I updated the store with the 1-click upgrade module. The product page for the 8.x release is confirmed by the registration certificate: product page after update
mati7716
when I install manually I have two problems. 1.I extract the prestashop.zip file to the main file containing Install_PrestaShop.html and index.zip. I move all this content to the folder with the old Prestashop version 2. Unzip only prestashop.zip and I move all this content to the folder with the old Prestashop version
