Prestashop classic team v 8.2, module version 1.0.13, default settings.

Customers called, they could not put a product in the shopping cart. When we tried to put same product in the cart, cart was working fine.  Customer was not banned .
We also observed server did give 500 error with clear cache from the backoffice

We now have disabled the module.

Could you please advice,

Thank you.

@biker1947 I need web-server-php error.log

Cart not working for one customer only?

We checked the server log. Could not get our finger nails behind the problem. Then other customer called reporting the same issue 😰. We asked the customer if he could wait on the phone .

We checked server log immediately … no error in server log 🙈

My colleague was checking at the admin side the product settings. Then noticed, under the tap Options/ Tags, this field was empty, wondering this would create the issue. Wierd, could not explain, just did the test. Adding a tag immediately resolved the issue. 🥺

Then we did remember we had a module running to show the tags with the product in the front office.

We disabled the module, removed the tags from the product,   cart was working fine.

sorry, we blamed your module 😓

Best regards,

Already best Wishes,

Peter

Thank you Peter, I'm glad you solved the problem.

For a year now the module has been successfully protecting our servers and simplifying the administration of sites. Although the module is free, it sometimes works even better than paid modules.
Perhaps someone has requests and wishes for improvement or modernization, write here.

Unfortunately, support for new versions of PrestShop is not planned, rather everything will be the other way around, there will be development for old versions.

We decided not to update PrestaShop above version 8.2.0 and gradually migrate to another e-commerce engine. We found a wonderful, rapidly developing fork of PrestaShop version 1.6 with support for the latest PHP versions. We are currently actively developing all of our modules for the new engine. It turns out that we are practically rewriting all of our modules for PS 8.2.0 to support for PS 1.6. This means that this module written for the new engine will be compatible with PS 1.6 and some older versions of 1.7.

Hi.

I have PS 8.2.0 and Simple Security v1.0.13,  The module blocked the IP's of all clients who tried to log in, even I tried and it blocked my IP too.

Is there any way to create a white list? is that after unblocking the IP it blocks again.
