Kapel
Hi all!I am creating a bilangual (english / polish) shop. It’s a 1.4.1.0 Prestashop, upgraded from 1.3.1.1. My main shop language is polish. English is my 2nd, optional language. The problem is that in the ‘categories’ section categories are in polish (even if I choose english, they are still in polish. Everything is in english (descriptions and so on) but titles of categories are in polish.) Look@attachmentIn products (back office) I have filled up the product names, category names, descriptions in both languages. They appear properly in the backoffice (when I change the flag) and everything seems to be ok in the database (I look into it through phpmyadmin). What can I do ?PS.Sorry for my bad english. shokinro
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/402/categoryp.jpg/ You can upload your images to this thread of the forum, why use 3rd party links? And it also requires input some kind of code to access it, waste time.I didn't see the images, not quite sure your problem. For the title of category, I think you may need to translate them in translations toollog in to your back officeTools tabTranslations tabchoose front office then click the language icon to translate it

The problem is with the product categories that I have added. I think the image shows pretty much that, what I tried to describe.
shokinro
Have you tired the translation functionality?
Kapel
Yes, I have tried the translation functionality. I think that I should also mention (just found) that even if I add a new category (and a new product in that category), it does not appear. shokinro
could that be cache? Can you try following things1. Clear your browser's caches2. Set you your store to "Force Compile" Back office Preference tab Performance sub tab
Kapel
Browser cache cleaned, force compile was already set in the performance tab to "yes", but just in case I changed it to "no", saved and set it back to "yes". In the attachments I have added screenshots from my shop, where I've added a "testproduct" which is in a "testcategory".
shokinro
it is really difficult to figure out what is happening there. hope someone else give you some advice.if you don't have much data in your catalog, I suggest you do a clean installation of 1.4.1, that might fix all your problem. Kapel
Thanks a lot for your help. It was worth trying. I would like to avoid doing a clean install because I have about 100-150 products, all with bilingual descriptions It's not much but I don't have time to insert everything again. The annoying part about this, is that, it's the last thing to do, to start the shop. Only this is blocking me from opening (or testing in fact everything than opening).======Problem solved! The answer was ridiculously simple. In the back office, I just changed the order of the categories. Something refreshed and it started working, as it should work in the first place. Anyway thanks a lot for your support
