2 items sent to the customer from 2 different locations - can Prestashop deal with that?

Hi all

So I actually run a shop on an old prestashop 1.6.1.0

Pending new developments, I have the need within the same order from a customer to ship 1 product from Italy and to ship 1 product from France.

The product from Italy has 2 different shipping methods (untracked 10€ vs tracked 15€), shipping from France has 1 shipping method, so a mandatory one (tracked 10€).

On prestashop 1.6.10, it was unable to say to the customer: would you choose between untracked 10€ vs tracked 15€ for the item that will be shipped to you from Italy. It chose the cheapest of the two and it displayed that quite ugly, with no text, no logo, no information:

 

So I told myself, maybe it's too old, maybe it got better.

I installed a 1.7.8.10 setup, same result:

 

So my question is simple:

is there a prestashop version that can deal with that?

if not, is there an existing module that can deal with that?

If you go to that carrier in the backoffice, does it have the logo?

That « carrier » is not a carrier.

that « carrier » is the addition of the prices from 2 different carriers that are created in the database with info and logo: carrier A which will ship item A + carrier B which will ship item B

1 order 2 packages 

ideally you would think prestashop to be able to show carrier A its price + carrier B its price making it 20 € total, but no, it can’t.

i guess it was left for developers to develop into some module
