Marcofavaretto
Good morning everybody Any idea why attachments do not work on Prestashop 1.7.8.9? I mean, people can see my attachments, but sometimes they see a "blank" page and I have no idea why. Anyone has? Thanks in advance Best regards

musicmaster
My guess would be that the file is missing. Note that the filename is defined in the ps_attachment database table. It looks something like "b79f3d131f873bd8b2c5c30a4dfd6cf496d0ed28". It is renamed when you download it.
Zohaib-fk
Hi, You can check the file in the uploaded file location folder that exists and it works fine if the file is downloaded using the FTP. It will help to know file is correctly uploaded on the server.
AddWeb Solution
Hi, Make sure that the file permissions on the attachment files are set correctly. They should be readable by the web server user. Incorrect file permissions can prevent users from accessing the files. Check if any error arises in console (developer's tool) by the time you click on the attached file. Thanks!
Marcofavaretto
Thank you guys! I think I'll use another solution that does not involve attachments, because I don't know how to use FTP and I don't want to do something bad to the website... Not knowing how to solve this problem just puts me an insane asylum, but I have no other "safe" solution, at the moment. Zohaib-fk
Thanks for the updates. The FTP is easy to understand and use. It is like File Manager from Windows or a mobile app. You can find many articles on Google search and demo videos on YouTube to learn about FTP, maybe it will help in future website management. https://filezilla-project.org/ Edited October 10, 2023 by Zohaib-fk (see edit history)
