What will happen if I clear the cache in Prestashop?

When I try to change some settings in the back office in my presta I get a message to clear the cache, but I don`t know a lot about stuff like this, and I was afraid clearing this cache will delete someting, make me loose some info on my website, or change something about my lates product additions? Is it safe to clear the cache? Anything about doint this I should be aware of?

It is safe to clear cache, you can do it in your shop backoffice in Advanced Parameters > Performance tab, or by deleting all content in var/cache on your server.
